Literature Text

If you’re not from Alaska you can’t know the northern lights
You think you know the northern lights
You can’t know the northern lights

At night it looks so pretty
When we see the northern lights shining so brightly in the sky
We are happy when we see it.

If you’re not from Alaska
You don’t know the northern lights

So you’re not from Alaska
And yet you know the cold
Yet you think you know the cold

At times it nips at our noses
The wind is so very cold,
So cold we run  inside for the warmth

So you’re not from Alaska
You can’t know the snow

If you’re not from Alaska
You don’t know our summers
You can’t  know our summers

In the summer the sun  shines so bright,
We go play in the yard with  our dogs
At night we watch the sun set,
As we roast marshmallows in the fire.

If you’re not from Alaska
You don’t know our summers

You see,
My, hair is all messy
My, eyes are filled with happiness
My, skin’s a pale color
My, lips are red and chapped

If you’re not from Alaska you  can’t know my heart, you don’t  know the northern, and you haven’t seen the beauty. So you don’t  know the joy  I  have when summer time comes around and the fun I have. By the time the cold comes you don’t know the sorrow that I feel, but in spite of the cold I become happy when Christmas comes.
a poem i wrote in english last year
i hope you all like it
